This Week in Pokémon GO: 20-26 February 2023

Coming this week in Pokémon GO, commencing 20th February we have the Primal Rumblings event, and the Hoenn Tour!

Primal Rumblings Event

From February 22 to February 24, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. local time the Primal Rumblings event takes place to get us hyped for the Hoenn Tour. Rayquaza will be in raids with special Dragon type Charged Attack Breaking Swipe, along with special Hoenn themed spawns.

Pokémon GO Tour Global: Hoenn Tour

Taking place February 25 to February 26 2023 from 10 P.M to 6 P.M local time each day, Hoenn Tour is here! All Pokémon from the Hoenn Tour can now be shiny, and special research is available via a ticket for shiny Jirachi. Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre make their debut globally!

Spotlight Hour

Jigglypuff

Tuesday February 21st 6pm till 7pm local time we have Jigglypuff as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with a 2× XP for catching Pokémon.

Raid Hour

Rayquaza

Wednesday 22nd February 6pm till 7pm local time Rayquaza will be appearing in raids for raid hour. It will know the special move Breaking Swipe during this time.

Mega Raids

Pidgeot (Mega)

Mega Pidgeot will appear in raids from February 15, 2023 10:00am, till February 22, 2023 10:00am.

Mega Latios and Mega Latias will appear in raids from February 22, 2023 10:00am, till March 1, 2023 10:00am.

From February 25 to February 26 Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon will appear in Primal Raids, taking over from Mega Raids during the Hoenn Tour event.

Five Star Raids

Regirock

Regirock will appear in raids from Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 10:00am till Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00am. Regirock caught during this time will know the special charged attack Earthquake.

Rayquaza

Rayquaza will appear in raids from Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00am till Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 10:00am. Rayquaza caught during this time will know the special charged attack Breaking Swipe.

From February 25 to February 26 Normal Forme Deoxys, Speed Forme Deoxys, Attack Forme Deoxys and Defense Forme Deoxys will appear in five-star Raids during the Hoenn Tour.

February 2023 Research Breakthrough

Completing Field Research tasks leads to Research Breakthroughs, which now reward Trainers with different items in addition to encounters with a variety of Pokémon. Check out the Research Breakthrough rewards you can look forward to this Season!

• From December 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to March 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
  PDT (GMT -7)
• Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Galarian Mr. Mime, Delibird, Bagon, Furfrou, Deino and Goomy. For the first time, you are also to encounter shiny Galarian Mr. Mime if you are lucky!
