Pokémon GO Halloween 2022 Event Part 2

Hello trainers! Part 2 of the Pokémon GO Halloween 2022 event is here, and if any trainers were wondering ‘where are the inevitable Halloween costume Pokémon?’, part 2 is the answer! We have adorable new costume Pokémon, new shiny Pokémon, special research and more.

Brand new costume Pokémon will be making an appearance for the second part of the Halloween event, and shiny Pumpkaboo is making their first ever appearance in Pokémon GO as a costume Pokémon!

Gengar will only be appearing in raid battles, whereas Vulpix and Pumpkaboo will be spawning in the wild. Gourgeist and Ninetales will be available via evolution.

These are an amazing shiny family, with Pumpkaboo switching orange to purple for the pumpkin, with the brown top half becoming black, and Gourgeist’s hair(?) becoming purple with a black pumpkin.

5 Star Raids – Giratina with Shadow Force

• From October 20 to October 27, 2022, Giratina Altered Forme will be appearing in Five-Star Raids.
• From October 27 to November 8, 2022, Giratina Origin Forme will be appearing in Five-Star Raids.

Giratina will appear in 5 Star raids from October 20, 2022, 10:00 am local time to November 1, 2022, 10:00 am local time, and any Giratina caught during that time will know the Charge move Shadow Force Ghost

Shadow Force will have the following stats:

• 120 power for Trainer Battles
• 140 power for Gym & Raid battles

Mega Raids – Mega Banette

Banette (Mega)

Mega Banette will make its Pokémon GO debut, if you’re lucky you’ll encounter a shiny one!

Halloween 2022 Special Research: Mysterious Masks

Willow and Rhi need your help with some Halloween-themed Special Research during this event! Along the way, you’ll learn more about Yamask and Galarian Yamask. 

Mysterious Masks Special Research will be available to claim from Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 am local time until Thursday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 am local time.

In addition to the freely available Halloween-themed Mysterious Masks Special Research, there will be two separate paid tickets available for the event as well.

• For $1 US (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) you can purchase a ticket that will grant access to Timed Research featuring encounters with Yamask and Galarian Yamask.
• For $5 US (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) you can purchase a ticket that will grant access to Timed Research featuring increased candy bonuses, additional Halloween-themed tasks, an avatar pose, and Spiritomb.

Bonuses for $5 Event Ticket

Trainers who purchase the $5 Event Ticket for the Halloween Timed Research have these bonuses instead.
