Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Global is a global adventure is coming to Trainers around the world on Saturday, February 25, 2023, and Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
This is a free, non-ticketed event, available to everyone, with the option of players buying a ticket for the Masterwork Research: Wish Granted that rewards Shiny Jirachi. Players can also progress Chasing Legends Special Research to earn energy for Primal Reversions.

Wild Encounters at GO Tour Hoenn – Global
Special Pokémon will appear in unique habitats during the event! Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Unown H, Shiny Surskit, Shiny Gulpin, Shiny Torkoal, Shiny Cacnea, Shiny Tropius, and Shiny Relicanth.

Ruby vs. Sapphire Challenge at GO Tour Hoenn – Global
As earth and sea clash, you’ll have to pick a side! All trainers will need to pick between a Ruby and Sapphire Badge, and the team you pick will shape your Pokémon encounters. Trainers who attend the Las Vegas in-person event will pick their badge in Vegas, and it will carry over into the global event.
Each hour you will be able to complete special field research tasks to help your team. Depending on which team completes more research, all trainers will see increased Primal Raids for either Primal Groudon (Ruby) or Primal Kyogre (Sapphire), plus an increased chance of encountering certain wild Pokémon.

Ruby vs. Sapphire Challenge
As the earth and sea clash, which side will you stand with? All Trainers will be able to pick between a Ruby and Sapphire badge. The team you pick will shape certain in-person Pokémon encounters!
Each hour, you can complete special Field Research on behalf of your team. Depending on which team completes more Field Research, all Trainers will see increased Primal Raids for either Primal Kyogre (Sapphire) or Primal Groudon (Ruby)—plus an increased chance of encountering additional wild Pokémon!
Masterwork Research: Wish Granted

Special Research: Chasing Legends
Trainers in Las Vegas will also have access to the Chasing Legends Special Research story featuring none other than Rhi from the GO Ultra Recon Squad.
Professor Willow has tasked Rhi with researching Hoenn folklore about the Red and Blue Orbs—items which are said to have some connection to Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon—and Rhi needs your help!

Global Tour Shiny Rate
Niantic has confirmed to website Eurogamer that no other ticket will be sold as part of Hoenn Tour, and that shiny rates will be boosted for select species without a ticket. The ticketed portion of the event only impacts the access to the shiny Jirachi Masterwork Research.
This means that unlike previous Pokémon GO Tour events, it is free and open to all players. We don’t know which species will be affected by this shiny boost, or what the rate of the shiny boost will be, but there will be an increase for some Pokémon, not all.

Hoenn Tour Photo Safari Timed Research: Latias and Latios
Photo Safari’s are Pokémon GO Hoenn Tour Global Event-exclusive Timed Research stories. There are two separate versions, including one for Ruby version trainers and one for Sapphire version trainers.
During the event, Latias will be in the wild for trainers that selected Sapphire version, and Latios will be in the wild for trainers that selected Ruby version. The Timed Research involves taking a snapshot of them to earn another free encounter.
