The newest Pokémon Sleep update to version 1.10.0 is complete, and it brings some major changes to the game. Some were announced ahead of the update, but there were several that were not! As well as the level cap increase and Good-Night Ribbon adjustments, changes were also made that impact the Pokémon GO Plus+. Some new bugs have also been discovered which we mention below.
Good-Night Ribbon
Helper Pokémon can get Good-Night Ribbons based on the amount of sleeping time you’ve shared. Getting a Good-Night Ribbon will raise some of a Pokémon’s helping stats.
The effects the ribbon has on stats depend on which of the four levels of Good-Night Ribbon it is, and these levels are unlocked based on the amount of sleeping time shared with that helper Pokémon.
- Ribbon level 1: 200 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +1
- Ribbon level 2: 500 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +2. If the Pokémon can still evolve once (example: Pikachu), its helping frequency is shortened by 5%. If the Pokémon can still evolve twice (example: Pichu), its helping frequency is shortened by 11%.
- Ribbon level 3: 1,000 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +3 and Special profile icon of that helper Pokémon
- Ribbon level 4: 2,000 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +2. If the Pokémon can still evolve once (example: Pikachu), its helping frequency is shortened by 7% (for a total of 12% shorter). If the Pokémon can still evolve twice (example: Pichu), its helping frequency is shortened by 14% (for a total of 25% shorter)
Note: Each level’s effects will be added as you unlock them. Example: If you unlock ribbon level 2 with Pichu (a Pokémon that can still evolve twice), you’ll get the effects of ribbon level 2 in addition to the effects of ribbon level 1.
Therefore, that particular Pokémon will get three effects from the ribbon: +1 to its carry limit from the ribbon level 1 bonus, plus an additional +2 to its carry limit and 11% shorter helping frequency from the ribbon level 2 bonus.
Preparations for future events
For details, please see the announcements posted at a later date.
Adjustment that allows helper Pokémon with the Skills specialty to bank main skill uses
Until now, for all helper Pokémon, a main skill would not trigger again until it has been used once. After this adjustment, Pokémon with the Skills specialty will be able to bank up to two uses of their main skill.
Notes: After this adjustment, when you tap on a helper Pokémon with a magnifying glass over its head on the home screen, if the Pokémon has the Skill specialty, it will sometimes use its main skill twice at one time.
Pokémon that don’t have the Skills specialty can only bank one use of their main skill.
You can see your helper Pokémon’s specialty in the upper right of the Pokémon’s details screen (from the home screen, tap Pokémon, then Pokémon Box, then tap on an individual Pokémon).
Rewards when you’ve reached the max area bonus
If you’ve reached the max area bonus, your 5% area bonus increase will be automatically divided and distributed across other areas.
Example: If you have reached the max area bonus for Greengrass Isle and have the areas up to Snowdrop Tundra unlocked, the 5% area bonus increase that would normally go to Greengrass Isle will be shared amongst Cyan Beach (+2%), Taupe Hollow (+2%), and Snowdrop Tundra (+1%).
Unlocking the limits for research rank, helper Pokémon levels, and more
- Research rank: 55 → 60
- Pokémon level: 55 → 60
- Max levels of certain main skills: 6 → 7 for Ingredient Magnet S, Extra Helpful S and Cooking Power-Up S. Note: Other main skills’ max levels are scheduled to be gradually unlocked in later updates.
- Recipe level: 55 → 60
- Max expanded capacity of the bag’s ingredients pocket: 600 → 700
Addition of three-star sleep styles to the sleep styles that can be discovered on Greengrass Isle
Multiple three-star Pokémon sleep styles will be added to the sleep styles that can be seen during sleep research on Greengrass Isle.
Other Updates
- Increase to Strength gains from certain dishes: The Strength gains from some dishes that don’t require many ingredients will be increased slightly.
- Bedtime rewards increase: Some of the rewards you can get by sticking to your bedtime will increase.
- Sleep research rewards increase: The amount of research EXP and Dream Shards you can get from sleep research will increase slightly. Note: Adjustments will focus mainly on sleep styles that require a low amount of Drowsy Power.
- Adjustment to game function when you edit your team. After the adjustment, whenever you change which Pokémon are on your team—even if you only change one Pokémon—any banked main skills that are ready to use for any of the Pokémon on your team will be canceled. This adjustment is being made to prepare for a wide variety of main skills that we plan to implement in the future.

- Special Pikachu’s max friendship level unlocked: 18 → 20. When special Pikachu’s friendship reaches 19 or higher, a third ingredient slot—Honey—will be unlocked. Note: The ingredient collection rate for its first two ingredient slots—Fancy Apples and Soothing Cacao—will not be lowered.
- Addition of exclusive Pokémon GO Plus + achievements: Achievements have been added so you can receive rewards depending on the sleep logged using your Pokémon GO Plus +. Note: The time will be calculated starting after the achievements have been added, so the total sleep time towards the achievements will start at 0.
- Addition of a special Pikachu profile icon: You can now select a special Pikachu profile icon from your profile page after pairing with your Pokémon GO Plus + device.
- Compatibility for tablet devices and folding smartphones
- End of Pokémon Sleep support on Android OS 7. If you are using one of these systems and would like to continue playing Pokémon Sleep, please consider updating your OS version or transferring your data to a compatible system (one with Android 8.0 or newer, or iOS). Also, if you are using one of these systems and are considering purchasing a Premium Pass, please make your purchase after updating your OS version or transferring your data to a compatible system (one with Android 8.0 or newer, or iOS). If you are using a device with Android 8.0 or newer, or iOS, support will continue as before. There is no need to take any action.
- Some texts adjusted or unified
- Other small bug fixes and adjustments

Known Bugs
- Bedtime notifications set on Pokémon GO Plus + going off an hour late in countries with Daylight Saving Time. Note: The notification time will be automatically corrected when you connect your Pokémon GO Plus + device after updating the app.
- Snorlax’s Strength and rating gain animations playing on a loop in certain situations. This bug can be removed by tapping the MENU button on the title screen, and then tapping Clear Cache. →This bug is scheduled to be fixed in a future update.
Bugs Fixed as of
- Certain Shiny Pokémon not appearing in the list of profile icon choices even after the Version 1.5.1 update
- Also, users in certain environments may see some Shiny Pokémon that they haven’t yet discovered in their list of profile icon choices, but this is expected behavior, as based on adjustments in the Version 1.0.13 update, some Shiny Pokémon that were evolved count as discovered in the Sleep Style Dex.
Bugs Fixed as of
- A bug that caused Error 25200 to occur and return to the title screen when Snorlax ate Berries
- Meganium having Large Leeks as its ingredient unlocked at Lv. 30, and Snoozy Tomatoes at Lv. 60. As of an update on 1/26, adjustments were made so that Meganium with the ingredients described above will no longer newly appear in the game. However, no adjustments will be made to this type of Meganium that have already been befriended. You can still play with the Meganium as it is now.
