February 2023 Research Breakthrough
- From December 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to March 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
PDT (GMT -7) - Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Galarian Mr. Mime, Delibird, Bagon, Furfrou, Deino and Goomy. For the first time, you are also to encounter shiny Galarian Mr. Mime if you are lucky!

Crackling Voltage and Team GO Rocket Takeover Event
From February 1 12:00 A.M to February 5 11:59 P.M local time we have the Crackling Voltage event, and Team GO Rocket Takeover. Giovanni is armed with Shadow Registeel, and Grunts will appear more frequently!
February Community Day
February 5, 2023 from 2PM to 5PM local time will see Noibat featured for Community Day, with their special Normal type Charged Attack Boomburst. Excitement builds up with triple catch stardust!
Valentines Day Event
Valentines Day event 2023 takes place February 8 10:00 A.M to February 14 8:00 P.M local time. Mega Gardevoir gets their debut in Pokemon GO, and Tapu Lele, along with the Frillish lines, are released as shiny!
Luvdisc Limited Research Day
February 11 2023 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M local time we have the Luvdisc Limited Research Day! PokéStops will give special field research tasks rewarding Luvdisc, with a higher shiny encounter rate than usual, and special pink and Valentine themed spawns will be in the wild.
GO Battle Day: Vulpix
On Sunday, February 14, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time GO Battle Day Vulpix takes place.
- Featured Pokémon
- Available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.
- All win rewards from the Premium track will be reward encounters.
- Vulpix will be guaranteed to appear as a reward encounter.

February 18 to February 19, 2023 10:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M local time each day, the in person Pokémon GO Tour takes place in Las Vegas.
Primal Rumblings Event
The Primal Rumblings event takes place from February 22 10:00 A.M to February 24 10:00 P.M local time. Rayquaza returns to five star raids with the special Dragon type Charged Attack Breaking Swipe, Mega Latios and Mega Latias return to Mega Raids, and certain Hoenn Pokémon will spawn to get us hyped for the Hoenn Tour!
Pokémon GO Tour Global: Hoenn
February 25 to February 26 2023 10:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M each day, the global Hoenn Tour will take place! Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon make their debut, and all shiny Pokémon from the Hoenn region will be released!
