During Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global certain areas experienced issues with raids. This led to Scopely Explore turning off Team GO Rocket to help the event run smoother. Trainers experienced technical issues when attempting to join raid battles that led to them being unable to participate in raids.
As a result, a special make-up raid event will be held for all Trainers, globally. Raid Bosses featured during the original event–including Mega Mewtwo Y Super Mega Raids–will appear. Team GO Rocket are now also reactivated in game!
Initially it was announced that this event would only be for trainers in certain time zones, but this has now been updated to be a global event.

There will be no limit on Remote Raids for all Trainers from Saturday, July 25, at 1:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, July 26, at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
Up to 12 free Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
Pokémon caught from five-star raids and Mega Raids during this event may have a Special Background.

Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids during this event may have a Special Background. If that Mewtwo with a Special Background is Mega Evolved, its Mega Evolution’s background will have an additional visual effect.

Premier Balls will be more effective at catching Pokémon after raids.
Link Charge cap will increase to 2,000
Trainers who previously purchased the Road of Legends Deluxe Pass will receive the following rewards:
Additional 5,000 XP from completed raids
Additional 3 Candy from completing 5-star and higher raids
Additional 1 Candy XL from completing 5-star and higher raids

Mewtwo can be caught with the following CP values:
- From 2294 CP to 2387 CP, with no weather boost
- From 2868 CP to 2984 CP with Windy weather boost
5-Star Raids
5-Star Raid Bosses will rotate hourly, following the hourly habitat schedule:
- Buzzwole is available in the Americas and Greenland
- Pheromosa is available in the EMEA region and India
- Xurkitree is available in the Asia-Pacific region
- Celesteela is available in the Southern Hemisphere
- Kartana is available in the Northern Hemisphere
- Stakataka is available in the Eastern Hemisphere
- Blacephalon is available in the Western Hemisphere
